About to buy a machine and unsure if it come with a remote controller included, as they sell the stand-alone remote, I am wondering if I need to purchase this on top if it does not come with a way to control other than connecting to my PC?

They are not supplied with a remote control you have to use the shockspot software on your PC or Mac to control it.

Because of the shipping costs it is cheaper to buy this from a UK shop eg. Sinful stock it.

That is not correct. Even with shipping it is far cheaper to buy direct from the manufacturers in the USA
