Having cancer run in the family, I am very conscious about minimising my risk of getting cancer.

So you can imagine my horror to discovered that half of my sex toy collection is made from materials linked to the cause cancer!!!

I'm talking about phthalates, but there's many other materials like jelly, rubber, UR3, cyberskin, PVC, TPR/TPR that are toxic and can be dangerous to use.

It would be good to have a clear list of the good and bad sex toy materials.

I can understand your concern, especially as you say there's a history of cancer in the family.

I doubt the well known retailers would be selling products, whether they're deemed as novelty or not, knowing their real purpose, that have any proof of them causing adverse effects to health, it'd be a claim waiting to happen, the risk must be negligible if you're buying a reputable product.

Plus most of the stores you can search for phthalate-free sex toys.
