Wash in HOT water with a good soap and leave to soak for a good 10 mins.

Still smelling? Try cleaning using some baking soda, a few tbsp with water, again soak for at least 10 mins.

Next would be to try white vinegar, a mix of half vinegar, half water, leaving to soak then rinse thoroughly.

It still smells? Try boiling using any of the above methods, but only for manual toys, no electronic or toys with a battery.

Losing hope? Put you stinky toy in the dishwasher, but it's probably not a good idea to do with the dinner plates.

The last resort... A capful of bleach in a sink of warm water and leave to soak.
