1. Landing page links are no longer showing the Lovense page, but the affiliate link code (eg. /r/a1b2c3) instead
2. Sites which you have no affiliation with showing as the referrer? incl. google.com
3. Sales seem to have stopped?
These issues seem to have been occurring since 23/02/2021.
Make them aware, there could be a problem with the affiliate tracking.
I am not a Lovense affiliate so can't really confirm if it is a problem replicated by other affiliates.
Perhaps it's a malicious affiliate trying to get you banned or Lovense looking for a way to offload you as an affiliate?
- Something is going on with affiliate link tracking
- Are referrer site breaching terms and google as referrer usually refers to Pay-Per-Click
- Could be just normal sales but also backs up that tracking is not working
If your affiliate links are not working as expected then it is possible they are not getting tracked properly and also likely you are not been credited for the commission relating to those referrals.
Shady affiliate sites, hacked, spamming, false advertising such as offering non-existent discounts or promoting via other forbidden methods and google PPC is against the Lovense affiliate agreement, so could be a competitor affiliate trying to falsely complicit you or the affiliate program trying to shave or even worse ban you with what they claiming is proof via the affiliate tracking. Contact them to make them aware of any issues so they can't claim they identified anything shady as you are making them aware of issues upfront.
Quote:Lovense runs extensive PPC campaigns. Driving traffic to our site via Google, Yahoo, Bing or other search engine PPC is against our affiliate terms. Driving traffic indirectly via PPC is also forbidden (for example, you use PPC to drive traffic to a specific landing page on your site that hosts our affiliate link). In any case, bidding on our brand name, product names, brand mispellings, etc. is against our terms.
If you do this, we will remove your account and will not pay you out for any referrals.
In terms of having no sales, it depends how many sales you were making, take a look at your history and is the anomaly something that has occurred before especially when the traffic and promotion methods have not changed much. If you were making loads of sales daily and then all of a sudden go a week without any sales what so ever even without a decline in traffic, then one would grow suspicious, 2 weeks then there's definitely something fishy.
Deffo contact your affiliate manager at Lovense and get them to look into your concerns.
